Taipei 101 – World Tallest Building March 2004 – March 2010

Address: 信義路五段7號, 臺北市, 台灣

Comprising 101 floors, Taipei 101 was the world tallest building from March 2004 to March 2010. As earthquakes are common in Taiwan, Taipei 101 was designed to withstand, in addition to typhoon, major earthquake tremors.

Besides being an icon of Taipei, Taipei 101 also hosts one of the largest department stores of shopping for luxurious fashion, cosmetics and other imported items in Taipei.

Lifts are available for taking tourists to its observatory floor where tourists may have a great bird-eye view of the city. Try to avoid visiting 101 on weekends, as huge line can be formed and the waiting time can be long.

How to get there?

Take Line 2 of MRT Taipei and get off at the Taipei 101 / Taipei World Trade Center’s Station.
