Dragon Boat Festival originated many centuries ago, when a famous poet, called Wat Yuen, who killed himself by jumping into a river, when his king refused to accept his advices. This festival usually takes place in June-July period. During this festival, there would be many Dragon Boat Races around the island. Many international teams would be invited to take part in this race.
