MTR is, by far, one the most advance underground transit systems worldwide.

Taxi is very accessible and affordable. Hong Kong Taxi fare is probably among the cheapest around the world.
(Note: Tunnel toll charge, HKD10-50 depending on the tunnel used, would be added on to the taxi fare for crossing harbor trips. Make sure you ask for a receipt that may help to you to settle dispute, if any.)
