Canadian Museum of History (Canadian Museum of Civilization)
Located in Hull, Gatineau, Quebec, Canadian Museum of History, formerly known as Canadian Museum of Civilization, is a Canadian National Museum of human history. Founded in 1856, Canadian Museum of History is one of the oldest cultural institutions in North America. The museum was designed by a famous Aboriginal architect called Douglas Cardinal.
Original located in Montreal, the museum was moved to Ottawa in 1881, before it settled down in this Hull location. You may spot this museum, across the Ottawa River, from Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario.
If you are a historian, you definitely would enjoy this museum, as you would learn a lot about the Canadian history from it.
