Komoro Soba - 小諸 そば

While you are visiting Tokyo and you don’t want to spend too much money or time in meals, you may want to dine at one of the many local soba (noodle) shops which serve noodle soup at a very inexpensive price. Your inability of speaking Japanese should not deter you from dining at the local soba shops, as many of these shops have their sample displays in front of their shops and most of the shops also have their ticket selling machines that customers may buy their tickets for the dishes they want. Once you present your ticket to the shopkeeper, the chef will prepare your dish per the description on the ticket for you. Though most of the shop staffs do not speak English, they are very friendly and helpful.

Komoro Soba is one of the many soba chains in Japan and you, practically, may find them everywhere in Tokyo. Though they serve good tasting soba, their dishes are heavy with MSG. If you cannot tolerate MSG, you’d better stay away from this
