Getting around in Melaka

Local buses, Panorama routes, and taxi, are the main public transportation tools for getting around in Melaka city. The bus fare is around RM2-3, less than one USD, depending on your destinations. You should take Panorama route 17, if you want to get to the Melaka city centre. During the rush hours, the buses can be very full and their schedules can be very unreliable. Taxi would be your best means to get around the town. The taxi fare is very reasonable, usually RM 20-30. You should settle the taxi fare with the driver before you enter the car, as most of the drivers do not engage their taxi meters.
