Middelburg bulwark - Pertahanan Melaka (The defense of Malacca)
Midddelburg bulwark, part of the defense fortress, was built in Portuguese-Dutch colonial era.
The port of Melaka played a very important role in the sea trades between China and India in 15th century. Historically, this port controlled the Strait of Melaka which was the centre of trade for the Chinese – Indian trades. This fortress played an important role in defending the city of Melaka.
