Christ Church Malacca, Melaka

Though Islam is the state religion for Malaysia, the country does allow freedom of religion for non-Muslims.

Christ Church, Malacca, was built, in 1753, primary a Dutch Reformed Church. Originally painted white, the church was built in Dutch Colonial architecture style. In 1911, the church and its neighbouring Stadthuys building were re-painted in red, since then these hallmark buildings have been kept in this distinctive colour.
