Song Fa Bak-Kut-Teh (肉骨茶), Singapore

Bak-Kut-Teh (肉骨茶), literally means “Meat Bone Tea”, a popular soup served in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Though the word “Tea” is used in the name of the soup, there is no tea ingredient in the soup. The soup, in fact, consists of pork ribs and a mixture of herbs and spices, including cinnamon, star anise, cloves, garlic, etc. Traditionally, Bak-Kut-Teh is being served as a breakfast meal with Yau-Jar-Kwai (Chinese salted donut), but today you may find it to be served, by many restaurants, throughout the day.

Though Song Fa Bak-Kut-Tea is famous for its Bak-Kut-Tea, it does serve other delicious items. In addition to its Bak-Kut-Tea, you should venture into other dishes served by the restaurant.
