Eiffel Tower

Eiffel Tower ( La tour Eiffel), named after the French engineer Gustave Eiffetl who designed the Tower, was erected as the entrance arch to the World Fair in 1889. Though it was criticised by many French artists and architects at that time, it became the most recognizable icon of France and Paris.
The tower is 1,063ft tall and it has 3 levels. Visitors may purchase tickets, either by stairs or lift, to reach first and second levels. If you are physically fit, you should take the stairs; not only it is good exercise for you, you would also have a better view of Paris and the Seine.
