Paris, with a population of 2,243,833 (2010), is not only the capital, but also the most populous city of France. With so many well known landmarks and tourist attractions, like Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, Basilica of Sacré-Cœur, and world famous art museums like Musee Louvre, Musée d'Orsay and several other museums, Paris is one the most visited cities in the world.
Other than sightseeing, Paris is a haven for high fashion and cosmetic shopping for ladies. It is the home for Dior, Chanel, L’Oreal, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Cartier, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix and several other world renowned brand names.
Paris is a very romantic city. Just taking a stroll along the river Seine, or Av. Des champs-Elysees, you would feel the romantic atmosphere of the city.
