Uffici Museo
Uffizi Museo is one of the most famous and oldest art museums of the world. The building was originally designed and built, by the famous Italian painter and architect Giorgio Vasari, for the offices (Uffizi) of the Florentine magistrates, in 1560.
Today, the Uffizi, which houses many masterpieces by several famous painters and sculptors like Leonardo da Vince and Michelangelo, is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Florence. In high season, particularly in summer, waiting times can be up to many hours. In order to avoid the long waiting time, you should either get there very early or take your chance in the afternoon, i.e. two hours before closing.
