Basilica Santa Croce (Basilica of the Holy Cross)

This basilica is the largest Franciscan church, (church that follows the teachings and spiritual disciplines of Saint Francis of Assisi, an Italian Saint), in the world. It is the burial place several influential Italians, including Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli, Foscolo, Gentile and Rossini. It is also called Tempio dell\\\'Itale Glorie (the Temple of the Italian Glories).
