Qi Qi Huo Guo(Hot Pot)-齐齐火锅, Chongqing

I was told that Huo Guo (Hot Pot) cuisine culture was originated in Chongqing. People in Chongqing do hot pot for lunch, dinner and late-night meals. If you can only do 1 meal in Chongqing, you definitely should do the Huo Guo (Hot Pot).

I did my Hot Pot at Qi Qi Huo Guo Restaurant and it was a great experience. The staffs were so friendly and helpful, though they didn’t understand English. (It would be nice if you can find someone who can speak Chinese to do the ordering for you.) The restaurant was tidy and clean. The decoration, typical Chinese setting, was good. The food was great. If you cannot stand the hot & spicy broth, you should ask for the regular broth to do your hot pot. My recommendation is to get the “half-and-half” hot pot, so you may get the adventure of both sides of the world. So…. Go for it!!!!
