Built in 1694, as the residence of Emperor Yongzheng before he assumed his emperor position, converted to a lamasery in 1744, nine years after Yongzheng died, Yonghe Lama Temple is the largest and well preserved lamasery in Beijing. Due to its architectural background, this lamasery inherited the imperial palace style, which makes it quite unique from all other lamasery around the world.

Admission fee: RMB25/adult, children & seniors half price.
