Right next to the Church of Our Lady, you may find the Hospital of Saint John, a medieval hospital in Bruges, which was built in mid-12th century. During the Middle Age, this hospital was a place to take care of the sick pilgrims and travelers. Today, this complex becomes a museum which holds a number of works done the German-born painter Hans Memling.
