Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hal - l中山纪念堂
The hall was designed by Lu Yanzhi(吕彦直) (1894-1929), a renown Chinese architect at that time. The project was funded by Dr. Sun’s fans, local and oversea Chinese, in memory of him. Construction work commenced in 1929 and completed in 1931. The hall, a large octagonal structure without pillars with more than 3,000 seats, is being used for large scale performances and conventions.
