Austin Marriott South is not a very big hotel, but it is at a very convenient location, very close to the airport and downtown. As Austin is the capital of Texas, there are many government projects taking place in this city. Since the hotel is in a very convenient district, it is a natural pick for consultants of companies, like Microsoft, IBM, etc., for their staying when they are in town. The University of Texas at Austin and the Texas Capitol are only 15 minutes drives from the hotel. This makes it an ideal hotel for tourists too.

The front desk staffs are very friendly and helpful, and so are the staffs at its Concierge lounge. Its Concierge lounge is a bit small, comparing to other Marriott hotels’ lounges, but it does serve good breakfasts with omelets made to order.
