Hofgarten, an Italian Renaissance style garden, was built in 1613-1617 by Maximilian I a German from Bavaria. The garden is at the centre of Munich and is between Residenz and Englische Garten. In the midst of the garden, you will see a pavilion for the goddess Diana built by Heinrich Schon in 1615.
